Dr. Nolan Maher is a board certified, fellowship trained orthopedic surgeon in New York City providing comprehensive care to patients with hip and knee problems. Dr. Maher is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthopedics at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. I went to see Dr. Nolan Maher for hip pain and the experience I had from booking, to check-in, the patient enocounter, to check-out, to getting an MRI, and PT referral made me proud to work here at Mt. Sinai West.

Absolutely top-notch surgeon, who operated on an elderly family member needing a hip replacement after a bad fall. Throughout the process, Dr. Maher was a responsive, calming, and compassionate caregiver, who together with his team made sure our family member got the best of care. Recommend for any orthopedic surgery needs without reservation.

I had a fantastic experience with Dr. Nolan Maher. He operated on my left hip using the "front" method and I was able to walk without a cane two weeks later. Now 6 weeks after surgery, I can walk feeling as if I never had any arthritis. It is amazing and I am very glad that I undertook this operation. Dr. Maher is very professional, he explains things clearly before the operation and keeps in touch after the surgery to make sure that you are healing properly. I will definitely use him again if my other hip requires surgery and recommend him to anyone who suffers from the pain of hip arthritis.

He did the Mako Robotics procedure on both my knee replacements and my down time was VERY minimal.  I was off the cane in 2 to 3 weeks. His specialty is hip and knee and although he is only a few years in, with precision, style and grace he manages your expectations, gives you clear instructions and is an artist at what he does.
I feel fortunate to be put back together by him. My surgery was before Thanksgiving, and his prognostications have been perfection.
